We Give Care…

Last June 4, 2008, I watched the movie ‘Caregiver’. I am not a fan of Ms. Sharon Cuneta but I still watch her movie comeback as I found it relevant. Relevant in the sense that I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing and I could be one of those who work abroad to fulfill the dream of a greener pasture.

The movie is a reality. There are many of us who wanted to work abroad to meet the needs of one’s family. There are many sacrifices made by the family members to achieve such a dream. It is not easy to be a caregiver, one must be ready wholly. The greatest motivation of our dear overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) is their earning of POUNDS, EUROS or DOLLARS though there is a great sadness that overwhelms in times of loneliness.

See the movie Caregiver with Ms. Sharon Cuneta which is directed by Chito Roño and have a sympathy on the lives of our new heroes, the OFWs.

June 2008 Nurse’s Licensure Exam is over!!! Graduate nurses who aspire to get their license to work made their mark yesterday and today, June 1 & 2, 2008. Now, the examination was over; the stress for months of review had come to its end.

However, the exam takers will have to wait until the results be published. Then, it will be the time that they could be called RN’s (Registered Nurses) if they fortunately pass the test, or take the exam again if they failed.

Another stressful event is at hand after the exams. NLE takers will have to wait for the results. Unfortunately, the results will be announced after 2 months, in which, it is a very long time agony for the takers – asking the question, did I pass or fail?

The NLE is over, yet the journey to have a license at hand is on going. Continue the faith and pray more to achieve the ultimate goal at present (to get a license). Go! Go! Go!
